The set of a half-moon cutter which beautifully fits the concave surface of the bamboo board makes chopping and mincing herbs a real pleasure. The cutter features four graduated holes for stripping leaves from stemmed herbs: simply insert the stem of rosemary, thyme and other herbs, pull them through and their leaves are collected on the board. Now they can be chopped or minced with the half-moon cutter by rocking it back and forth. Leafy herbs like parsley or basil can be placed directly on the board for swiftly chopping or mincing.

Wooden handles versus synthetic ones, soft-touch materials opposed to stainless steel, cork and bamboo fibres, BergHOFF’s in-house designer Pieter Roex has chosen each resource to demonstrate its particular qualities in function and design. An approach that caught the eye of the Red Dot Design jury who promptly honoured the ravioli stamps and the pizza set with the Red Dot Design award.
